Many international aid charities are helping Brazil to cope with the aftermath of the floods.

Organisations like Médecins Sans Frontières are providing medical aid, while charities like, Save the Children are providing hygiene kits and safe play areas for child survivors.

You can help by donating to a charity like Save the Children, or to an aid charity like CARE International, who have a rapid response fund for this type of disaster.

Like any business, charities have to submit Tax Returns to HM Revenue and Customs, but all donations are declared and the charities do not have to pay tax on them.
