Ethical gifts
What are ethical gifts?
Many charities offer a selection of beautiful gifts including chocolate, jewellery and toiletries. The gifts are ethical because they’re produced in a way that is fair to the local community and kind to the environment. Ethical gifts are usually described as organic, fair-trade or cruelty-free.
How can I buy an ethical gift?
Many charity websites have an online shop where you can browse and buy ethical gifts. You can usually arrange for the item to be sent directly to the recipient, or sent to you to wrap up and deliver. Charities with high street branches usually sell a selection of gifts in their shops too.
What are charity gifts?
Charity gifts are a little bit different. It’s a way of buying a gift for a poor community on behalf of a friend or family member - for example, a school desk for a child in Sudan. Your friend receives a card telling them more about the gift you’ve bought on their behalf and the difference it will make.
