WWF Adoptions and Memberships Special

WWF have some fantastic new animal adoption schemes available, just in time to make the perfect Christmas gift.

As the weather gets colder, spare a thought for the thousands of endangered animals struggling to survive in their freezing habitats…

Adopt a Snow Leopard

Snow leopards may appear powerful and hardy, but the species is currently endangered due to illegal poaching, destruction of their habitat, and increasing conflict with humans. Killed for their bones and fur, this graceful large cat needs urgent help to protect its future.

WWF have already stepped in, and with your help, can do even more. By Adopting a Snow Leopard, your money will help WWF work with local communities to track snow leopard movements and therefore reduce the likelihood of human conflict. Your donation will also help to train and equip local anti-poaching patrols, enabling Nepali law enforcement officers to reduce the illegal trade in snow leopard bone and fur.

WWF’s help is there for the long term – local farmers who have lost their livestock as a result of snow leopard attacks are now entitled to compensation, and the charity are also actively introducing numbers of wild prey into the snow leopards’ habitats. With your help, the changes WWF can make will last far into the future.

WWF’s reach in this region isn’t just limited to snow leopards – if you want to see your donation do more, why not adopt an entire snow pack?

Adopt a Snow Pack

Adopt a Snow PackPolar bears, Adélie penguins and snow leopards all face a worrying future, as climate change threatens the icy habitats they rely on to survive.

As warming temperatures take their toll, the animals’ natural prey is also in decline due to excessive hunting. Combined with the ever present risk of poaching, the future for these beautiful creatures is looking increasingly bleak.

By sponsoring the entire snow pack, your money will help WWF to not only safeguard these animals through anti-poaching and monitoring schemes, but also help the charity to raise awareness of the threats of climate change that will affect us all.

WWF don’t just work with scientists and animal experts, they work directly with local communities to ensure that their improvements benefit everyone, not just the animals they strive to protect.

When you sponsor a snow leopard or snow pack, as a thank you, WWF will send you (or the lucky recipient of your gift!) a cuddly toy, WWF magazine subscription, interesting factbook, adoption certificate, bookmark and stickers.

Christmas Gifts

Both of these adoption packs would make the perfect Christmas gift for a friend or loved one – in fact, if you order before 1pm on 20th December, WWF will guarantee free delivery to a UK address before the big day. Alternatively, you can download or print out an adoption certificate on the spot!

Go Wild

Join the WWF Go Wild Kids ClubIf the gift is for someone aged 7-11 years old, why not buy them membership to WWF’s Go Wild Club at the same time? Aimed specifically at a younger audience, belonging to the club is both fun and educational. The club membership includes a Go Wild backpack, keyring, wristband, animal stickers and a great explorer’s booklet with loads of fun activities and conservation tips.

The club member will also get a year’s subscription to the fantastic Go Wild magazine, printed six times a year. It includes brilliant games, competitions, and information about animals across the world.

Membership is amazing value - joining Go Wild costs only £3.00 a month, or if you’re adopting an animal or becoming a WWF member at the same time, only £1.50 a month! The only downside is whilst you have to be an adult to purchase the Go Wild Membership, you can’t be an adult to join – this is for kids only!
