Bank notes in Euro currency

This could be tricky

Most online charity donation forms are set up with payment gateways based in the UK.

In our experience most of them only seem to accept British pounds Stirling through their webforms.

This shouldn't be a problem if you live in Europe though, as you can still donate but you'd have to trust your bank to apply a fair exchange rate.

The only other option might be to try and write or call the charity but if this turned out more expensive than what you might lose in a bank applied exchange rate, we think it might be best to just donate online.

Please take a look around our site for more general info on supporting charities.

Tax exempt status of registered charities and online security

All of the charities listed on this website are registered with the Charity Commission in the United Kingdom. Like any business, charities have to submit Tax Returns to HM Revenue and Customs, but all donations are declared and the charities do not have to pay tax on them. This means all your donation to charity will help to further their vision and goals.

Registered charity numbers

Each charity's registered number can be seen prominently displayed on the bottom of their respective pages on this site and underneath their logos.
