Two polar bears

WSPA and the WWF both work to protect bears

WSPA is focused on protecting bears from cruelty – particularly captive bears who are forced to fight or to dance.

WSPA runs education programmes, funds sanctuaries for rescued bears, and develops rehabilitation programmes to help protect these animals from cruelty and to prevent further abuse.

WWF's work with bears focuses on polar bear conservation.

WWF funds research in climate change and its affect on polar bears, as well as protecting their habitat and stopping threats to polar bear numbers from poaching, illegal trade, and industry.
