There are lots of animal charities in the UK

They are all working to protect or care for different types of wild or domestic animals.

It would be very difficult and unfair to say which one was best as they all have different specialities.

Some charities such as PDSA provide care for pets, while charities like the RSPCA and WSPA protect animals from cruelty and abuse.

Other charities provide care for specific animals – for example dog or cat homes, or horse sanctuaries.

Deciding which animal charity to support is a personal decision that may depend on your favourite animals, or the type of service you think is most important for animals.

Tax exempt status of registered charities and online security

All of the charities listed on this website are registered with the Charity Commission in the United Kingdom. Like any business, charities have to submit Tax Returns to HM Revenue and Customs, but all donations are declared and the charities do not have to pay tax on them. This means all your donation to charity will help to further their vision and goals.

Registered charity numbers

Each charity's registered number can be seen prominently displayed on the bottom of their respective pages on this site and underneath their logos.
