The noble honey bee does so much. They provide us with delicious honey, their honeycomb can be used for candles and their beeswax is often found in many cosmetic products. Most important of all they are crucial to the pollination process.

Bees may be experiencing tough times at the moment but tough times don’t last and with your help you would not only be helping a family but helping aid the survival of this great insect.

Today Concern Worldwide is joining in celebrations for Human Rights Day. This day marks the anniversary of the proclamation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948.

It’s a day to celebrate, but it also serves to remind us that everybody is entitled to basic human rights.

These rights include having access to an education and to an adequate standard of living. Concern works with the world’s poorest people, many of whom don’t get to enjoy these rights.

Concern Worldwide is joining in today’s celebrations for Universal Children’s Day. We mark a very special day dedicated to the promotion of the welfare of children worldwide.

Childhood is such a special and important time in our lives; a time to learn, play, explore and have fun. Yet, tragically millions of children living in poverty aren’t free to simply be children. A daily struggle with hunger can have a drastic and lasting impact of the health and wellbeing of children.
