On the 15.10.10, a league of UK conservation organisations published a report using the UK's birds as an indicator of the success of conservation.

As part of the objectives of the UK's Biodiversity Action Plan, a project was started in 1994 to help a total of twenty-six bird species under threat of extinction were detected and UK government were informed.

In the report - State of the UK's Birds 2010 - published on 15 October this report looks at patterns in population from 24 different types of bird.

Northern India is affected by severe flooding, so poverty and Christian Christian Aid is responding to the emergency.

One of the most affected states is Uttar Pradesh. The Christian charity has sent £50,000 in charity funding to their partners CASA, Dynamic Action Group (DAG) and Poorvanchal Gramin Vikas Sansthan (PGVS) to respond to this devastating emergency.

This disaster has destroyed 1,500 villages, affecting more than 800,000 people's who have lost their houses and the cultivated produce of their ground and all their normal ways of survivng.

News from charity the National Trust on bird conservation - At the Farne Islands and their surroundings, near the UK's Northumberland coast, cutting edge technology is showing the daily course or direction in which puffins are moving and providing information that is absolutely essential to the seabirds' survival.

Thanks to the use of the technology, scientists at conservation charity the National Trust have learned about the movement of the puffins and what direction they travel when they leave the islands every single day.
