The wildlife charity, RSPB is advising people that they must not interfere with young birds that are seen looking helpless, abandoned, hungry and unsafe at this time of year.

Many people call the animal charity's phonelines desperate for advise on how to help these chicks that they might see in their gardens, on the grass, thinking they have been abandoned but when in reality the mother is close by.

Aid charity, the British Red Cross is giving an opportunity to come and visit The Big Red Cross Bus. This is the aid charity's mobile charity shop and you will be able to do some shopping there and pick up a bargain - while also being able to test out your volunteering skills!

The bus is this international relief charity's one-stop mobile charity and volunteering centre all rolled into one fantastic double-decker bus

From 31 May to 12 June this double decker bus will be visiting 12 locations around the UK as part of Volunteers Week 2010 charity celebrations.

One of the largest veterinary and animal charities in the UK, PDSA this week pays tribute to thousands of volunteers who have helped save animals.

The animal charity volunteers who have donated their valuable skills and time have helped to save the animal charity over £10 million a year. This news was recieved as “a fantastic achievement and great news for sick and injured pets.”
