Why sponsor a child?

For children in our poorest communities, domestic violence, disease and malnutrition are a daily threat.

Help World Vision put an end to child poverty by sponsoring a child online. It’s a simple and secure way to make a difference to children who have the least.

Sponsorship costs as little as 75 pence a day and will help a child get access to the nutrition, healthcare and education they desperately need.

Tackling the cause of poverty

World Vision works hard to tackle the root causes of poverty in countries like Bolivia, Ethiopia and Zambia. They do this by raising money through child sponsorship to give communities the tools they need to build a better future.

The difference child sponsorship makes

For the world’s poorest children, finding enough to eat and a safe place to sleep can be a daily challenge. Sponsor a child and you could help fund healthcare for HIV and AIDS; put in place a clean water supply; or develop better farming methods to ensure food grows throughout the year.

Will you help?

Sponsorship starts from just £26 per month. That’s enough to provide the basic resources to stop a child going hungry, missing school or becoming sick from contaminated water.

Every day, 3,500 girls under the age of 15 are estimated to be married. World Vision aims to stop this to allow more girls to stay in school and complete their education.

But your sponsorship does more than that. It gives families and communities the skills and opportunities to create a brighter future for everyone.
